A shower can look perfect and still leak into the wall within a few years if the waterproofing behind the tile is wrong. We waterproof the whole shower area, slope the floor to the drain and flood-test before tile goes on.
Then the fun part: wave or large-format tile, long niches, built-in benches, frameless glass, floating vanities and good lighting. Wet rooms with a tub inside the shower area are one of our favorites.
